Toy Story Family Movie Marathon Night

Less than a week, only 6 days until Disney!!  Closer than I can believe at this point.
Rather than just an ordinary movie night, we had a movie marathon.  Toy Story 1-3 at Nanny's house, one of Blaine's most favorite people in this world (my mom). Blaine and his friends all rounded up on the couch!

He had pizza and chocolate milk (his favorite) from Pizza Planet.
For a sweet snack afterwards, he had "There's A Snake In My Boot" gummy worms!
A movie night is never complete without our movie tickets from Mommy's Playground!

UP Family Movie Night

Ayo came to visit us for the weekend so we continued the countdown with another family movie night!  For our movie snack, we had some simple ham & crackers.  To make the countdown a little more fun, I made a column of 12 balloons on our home made "UP" house that my mom created.  Each day, Blaine gets to pop one balloon.  He thinks it was a countdown to go see Ayo in New Orleans, but we only have 12 days until we see Mickey Mouse too!  Let the balloon poppin' begin....

Wreck-It-Ralph Family Movie Night!

The countdown continues... Only 16 days to go!  Everyone seems to be getting their kids ready for school when school starts or last minute vacations.  I'm over here getting ready for Disney.  I'm excited to go, but not ready for the anticipation to be over!  On to the celebration...
Wreck-It-Ralph is a fun filled movie that will leave a kid wanting candy, chocolate, sprinkles, and more candy!  What's better than having a Sugar Rush party while we watch the movie (after dinner of course)!?

We made our very own candy race car like Vanellope & Ralph do it in the movie.  Cookie wheels, graham cracker body, sprinkles, m&m's, and Nutella for the glue.  Peanut butter would have probably worked better, but my picky little eater doesn't like it.  However, I wasn't aware that he isn't fond of nutella either.  So while we attempted to make our car, he ate the snacks that he did like.  It was extremely hard for me to keep it all out of my mouth, especially the nutella!

After the movie & sugar rush party, we played a little Disney Infinity together with the characters from the movie!  I really think that movie nights are great.  We are creating memories and possibly a lasting tradition!

Thank you for stopping by and keep checking for more.
Again, we always get our movie tickets from Mommy's Playground!

Dinosaur Family Movie Night!

Only 3 weeks until we drive into Florida & experience magic for 5 days!  To celebrate, we had a Dinosaur movie night.  Again, this is another movie that has rides at Animal Kingdom, which is the one park we will not be visiting.  However, they do have a T-Rex restaurant in Downtown Disney so we can get a look at the dinosaurs while we are there.  I'm planning many more movie nights to continue our countdown celebration!
Please excuse the poor quality of the pictures.  I have been using the camera on my phone.  I'll be using a digital camera soon.

During the movie, Blaine said he wanted to learn the names of each dinosaur.  He also thought it was funny that T-Rex is so big, but has tiny little arms!  He said this was his favorite movie night so far!  He absolutely loved the volcano cupcake!
Blaine's Dinosaur FMN Meal
Dino Chicken Nuggets are one of Blaine's favorite things to eat!
Dino Claws (Bugles)
Dino Egg Nest (pretzels & m&m's)
Volcano cupcake (made by Allbritton's Cake House in West Monroe, LA)

Magicbands'll Make Her Dance!

Our magicbands weren't supposed to arrive until Wednesday according to the tracking number.  Around 8:30 pm, Blaine fell asleep and I decided to check on the progress.  DELIVERED!  Whaaat!??  I went to check the mail and sure enough a perfect box, big enough for magicbands, was waiting for me!  One step closer!  It is so hard not to tell Blaine all about it and share my excitement with him, but I didn't!  I added them to his Disney surprise bag and I'm sure he will be thrilled when he finally sees them in 23 days!!!

A Bug's Life Family Movie Night!

27 days to go!  To celebrate, we had a family move night!  Although he doesn't really understand my motives behind it, Blaine and I have agreed to have a Disney movie marathon all month!  Some movies he has seen countless times.  Some of them he hasn't seen at all!  Soooo... we have to fix that before he rides the rides and meets the characters at Disney World (shh)!!  The secret is still going strong!
So here's what our night was like...

A Bug's Life Family Movie Night tickets

Butterfly (Doritos, ball park frank, and pretzels)

Dirt & Worms (gummie worms, mini oreos)

Blaine is a picky eater, but he didn't have a problem eating these fun snacks tonight!  He couldn't pick just one favorite!

Although he is allergic to ants, he said that he really liked the movie!
I researched and found that there is an "A Bug's Life" attraction in Animal Kingdom, which is the only park that we won't be visiting this time around.  I hear that there is a chance we can catch the characters at Hollywood Studios!

4 Weeks Until Disney

A couple of months ago I was laying in my bed talking to my long distance boyfriend on the phone.  I thought he was playing a cruel joke on me when he said, "What would you think about taking Blaine (my son) to Disney this summer?".  Wait... what?  Is he serious?  When I say that he makes my dreams come true one by one, I'm not lying!  I could probably write a blog devoted to just how amazing he is!
I've always thought that Disney World would be the ideal vacation to bring my son on!  I'm happy to say that we have 4 weeks until we visit the magical place.  Blaine doesn't have a clue we are going so the surprise factor is what I really anticipate.
Blaine and I saw an advertisement for Disney World when we went to see a movie at Tinseltown.  I watched his face light up!  It was almost like he was dreaming that he was actually there.  He asked me how much it costs to go to Disney.  I threw an answer out there, "$2,000".  He was shocked, but since then has been determined to save every bit of cash that he gets.  As of today, he has saved a total of $139 toward his Disney fund.  Little does he know...
We only have 4 weeks until we are actually there!  I'm not sure exactly how I'm going to tell him, but I can hardly wait.  I live for that smile on his face!
Thank you for stopping by.  Stay tuned for more fun announcements, what I look forward to the most, & then the actually experience.
